The von Meck family is a historically significant aristocratic family associated with the history of the Baltic region and is part of the Baltic German nobility. The von Meck family owned Liepupe Manor from 1726 to 1829. During their ownership, the construction of the new Liepupe Manor House was completed in 1751, which, at the time, was one of the most modern and luxurious buildings in the present-day territory of Latvia and has been preserved to this day. The von Meck family members have made contributions to Latvian culture, education, and public life and have been active in political affairs as well.
