Eleonora Veronika von Meck (1745–1799) — the granddaughter of Russian Generalissimo Burkhard Christoph von Minin, she oversaw the construction of the Liepupe church and was the mother of Friedrich von Meck, investing large sums into her sons’ education. At the consecration of the church, she donated the famous silver communion chalice inherited from her grandfather, von Minin.
