Hieronymus Karl Friedrich von Münchhausen (1720–1797) — the famous storyteller of tall tales. In 1744, the von Meck couple attended the wedding ceremony of Jakobine von Dunten, Anna Sophia von Meck’s sister, and Hieronymus Karl Friedrich von Münchhausen, a lieutenant in the Russian army, at the Liepupe church. While living nearby at Dunte Manor, Jakobine and her husband, the legendary Baron Münchhausen, often enjoyed the hospitality of Anna Sophia von Meck in the newly built, luxurious Manor House.
