Haberland

Johann Andreas Haberland (1711–1788) — the architect behind the architectural masterpiece of the Manor House at Liepupe Manor. He arrived in Riga from Saxony around 1749 and became a citizen of Riga. The Liepupe Manor House is one of his early works. His son, the renowned Riga master builder Christoph Haberland, was influenced by his father’s architectural details at Liepupe Manor when planning buildings in Riga.

The room is located on the second floor of the Manor House, where the impressive scale, architectural details, and remarkable wooden construction implemented by Haberland are clearly visible. The room is classified as a Junior Suite.
