Tchaikovsky

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840–1893) — an outstanding Russian composer of classical music, known for composing the music for some of the world’s most famous operas and ballets, including Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Eugene Onegin—just a small sample of his vast body of work. Pyotr Tchaikovsky is indirectly connected to Liepupe Manor, as Nadezhda von Meck, a representative of the Russian branch of the von Meck family and the owner of the manor, was a close friend and both a moral and financial supporter of the renowned composer. It is believed that, during his visit to Latvia in 1877, Tchaikovsky, while traveling from St. Petersburg to Riga, stayed at the von Meck family estate, Liepupe Manor.
The room is located on the second floor of the Manor House, offering a beautiful view of the manor park and garden. Here, you will find a book about Nadezhda von Meck and Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The room is classified as a Standard-category room.
